Sooner or later in many friendships, a new type of partnership is going to be formed. It may come in the way of a business proposal or perhaps something else that requires more than just a handshake. That is when a contract may be drawn up and it is important for it to be fair between everyone. Contracts help to keep friends from getting into an argument at later times, but that may not be the case with Sheldon.
Most of us remember all of the different contracts that Sheldon has rolled up over the years, especially the roommate agreement that he has with Leonard. In this case, he draws up a contract with Howard and Leonard so that they can be business partners. Howard is more than ready to sign on the dotted line but Bernadette decides to pull him out in the hallway to give him a piece of her mind.
Friendships can last a very long time but sometimes, it is important to look beyond what we have formed over the years and make things legal. In this case, we get to see the possibility of a contract being signed and we can laugh at what takes place, even though we recognize the seriousness of what is going on.
